Internally, Octopass comprises eight analog filters, with each audio and CV connection of every filter linked to its own pins on the Polytip jacks. Each filter
employs a 4-pole 24db low-pass filter built around the SSI2144 chip, a patented improved ladder topology designed by Dave Rossum in 1980. Additional circuitry on the board manages levels, voice separation, resonance compensation, and power, collectively forming one of the most iconic filters of the ’80s synth era, but modular and in Eurorack format.
