The Digital Modifier A-165-2 from Doepfer can derive various switching signals from two trigger or gate signals.
The A-165-2 is a smaller and optimized version of Doepfer’s Trigger Modifier, which is no longer available. The two inputs are intended for trigger, gate or clock signals, i.e. everything for which the term digital signals can also be used. The outputs provide various states derived from the inputs.
The module is ideal for start/stop signals, signal inversion, frequency halving or converting a signal into a trigger. The module only accepts unipolar signals. Incoming bipolar signals are clipped.
The outputs work as follows:
Inverted signal to input 1
Inverted signal to input 2
T flip-flop (toggle flip-flop), controlled by input 1, this output changes its state on the rising edge of input 1
Set/reset flip-flop, this output changes its state to “high” on the rising edge of input 1 and goes to “low” on the rising edge of input 2
Inverted output of the set/reset flip-flop, this output changes its state to “low” on the rising edge of input 1 and goes to “high” on the rising edge of input 2
Pulse output, a trigger pulse of approx. 50 ms in length is generated on both the rising and falling edge of the signal applied to input 1
